EWGS - Grant Preparation

Details of the new English Woodland Grant Scheme (ewgs) were released mid 2005, and the scheme is now "up and running".

The new system requires applicatons to be tailored to individual woods and so to the particular improvements: these are divided into specific grant "streams". We have successfully applied for grants for clients under all of the new woodland grant streams:

Assessment - Planning - Management - Improvement - Regeneration - Creation

The next window for grant funded planting closes on 30th September 2007 - but as before, the South West will have an allocation - apply early to ensure that you are successful. The windows for all other streams are currently open.

We have not yet had an unsuccessful application !
