Badger Sett Creation and Exclusion

The Protection of Badgers (Meles meles) Act 1992 protects badgers and their setts.

In compliance with this legislation we are able to erect barrier fencing to exclude them from sites, install one-way gates over sett entrances and destruct existing setts once the occupants have been evacuated.

Heavy gauge netting is required for badger exclusion fencing and it must be buried at least 300mm underground with a 300mm ‘lip’.

We have also created a number of new badger setts, often using timber from trees cleared from the site to be used and milled by our own sawmill onsite to house the re-locating badger population.

Please contact us now on 01305 848881 to discuss your requirements.
